Sarah Beth Thomas, MSN, RN, CCRN, CNRN, SCRN is a Professional Development Manager supporting the inpatient Neurosciences at Brigham and Women’s Hospital in Boston, Massachusetts. In her newest role, she is accountable for designing, coordinating, implementing and promoting professional growth concentrating on research, quality and evidence-based practice to maintain proficiency and regulatory compliance.
Sarah Beth received her Bachelor of Science in nursing from Sacred Heart University in Fairfield, CT; her Master of Nursing Science with a specialization in education from St. Josephs College in Standish, ME and is currently obtaining her Doctorate in Nursing Practice from MGH Institute of Health Professions in Boston, MA. In addition, she is certified in critical care nursing, neuroscience and stroke nursing.
Sarah Beth has authored and co-authored multiple publications, including papers reflecting her work in acute ischemic stroke nursing, geriatric neuroscience disorders, migraine variants and post stroke depression. She has lectured at the state, regional and national level on a range of critical care and neuroscience related subjects. Her current clinical research and interests are focused on post stroke depression in the hyperacute phase as well as pupillary function as a result of chimeric antigen receptor (CAR) T cell therapy.
