Paul Ricci retired as Chairman and CEO of Nuance Communications in March 2018, after serving the organization for nearly two decades. Under his leadership, Nuance transformed from a $50 million per year imaging software publisher into a $2 billion leading provider of conversational speech solutions, with more than 14,000 employees worldwide.
Paul led the company’s evolution with the vision that people should be able to interact simply and intelligently with the technology that surrounds them. He turned this vision into a reality by applying voice- and language-powered solutions to solve complex problems in healthcare, telecommunications, automotive, financial services and other global markets.
Prior to joining Nuance in 2000, Paul spent many years at Xerox Corporation, where he served most recently as a Corporate Vice President. He began his career at Xerox’s Palo Alto Research Center.
Paul holds a BA and MA from Stanford University. He resides in Woodside with his wife, Nicole, and four children.
