Anne Klibanski, MD, is the President and Chief Executive Officer of Mass General Brigham. Dr. Klibanski leads the largest private employer in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts, setting and implementing strategic priorities focused on patient care and innovation. Prior to her current appointment, Dr. Klibanski served as the Chief Academic Officer at Mass General Brigham and Harvard Medical School Faculty Dean for Academic Programs at Mass General Brigham. In this role, she was responsible for an annual research enterprise of more than $1.8 billion, as well as graduate medical education and continuing professional development. She led multiple system-wide efforts aimed at clinical and research collaboration and oversaw advances in Partners’ educational strategic initiatives.
Dr. Klibanski also served as the Chief of Neuroendocrine at Massachusetts General Hospital and is recognized internationally for her high impact research in neuroendocrine disorders and pituitary tumors. Dr. Klibanski received her B.A., magna cum laude in literature from Barnard College and her M.D. from New York University Medical Center. She is the Laurie Carrol Guthart Professor of Medicine at Harvard Medical School.
