Dr. Shailesh Agarwal is an Associate Surgeon in the Division of Plastic Surgery. Dr. Agarwal’s philosophy of care is to understand the patient’s unique needs and desires, and to incorporate them into a safe treatment plan. He applies his extensive training, including microvascular surgery, to provide his patients with options, while considering the short-term and long-term benefits. Dr. Agarwal pursued a career as a plastic surgeon to exercise the critical thinking, technical expertise, and collaborative spirit required in the profession.
Dr. Agarwal’s research interests include lymphedema and post-injury inflammation. His laboratory is also studying how to program adipose tissue to express therapeutics for clinical translation.
