Hyung is a Partner at Foresite Capital Management and a member of the investment team focusing on evaluating opportunities in private and public biotech companies. He also serves as a board member for a number of portfolio companies. He is a physician scientist and cardiologist who was formerly a tenured faculty at Yale School of Medicine and continues to remain an adjunct faculty. He has published extensively in top journals including Nature, Science, and New England Journal of Medicine, and is an inventor on multiple patents. Hyung received his A.B. with honors in Biochemical Sciences from Harvard College, his M.D. from Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine, and completed his internal medicine residency and cardiovascular fellowship at Stanford.
