Tim Luker, PhD, is currently VP, Lilly Ventures at Eli Lilly. He leads Lilly’s Venture external innovation process on the West Coast USA within Global Corporate Business Development, primarily targeting transformational early-stage research across multiple therapeutic areas and modalities. This role supports external venture investments in both funds and companies globally (>$2bill) as well as due diligence and search and evaluation initiatives. He has completed over 40 signed deals for Lilly. Tim is an experienced drug hunter with >20 years’ experience (>60 patents and publications). Prior to Lilly he worked at Shire, Polleo Pharma (founder, company acquired) and AstraZeneca in R&D roles. Tim has a PhD in chemistry from the University of Southampton, UK, carried out post-doctoral research at Universiteit Van Amsterdam.
