Koen Breyne, Ph.D. is an Instructor in Neurology at Harvard Medical School and a Research Fellow at Massachusetts General Hospital. He has a strong background in Synthetic Biology and preclinical animal models. His research focuses on the comprehensive understanding of cell-cell interaction and how to apply these modes of communication as novel avenues for therapeutic intervention. He converts extracellular vesicles into non-viral delivery vectors for gene editing purposes and establishes cutting-edge techniques to detect functional extracellular vesicle payload discharge into recipient cells.
