Casey is an Associate Professor Neurology at Harvard Medical School and an investigator at the Massachusetts General Hospital. He has 20 years of experience in genetic engineering of viruses to use them as therapeutic delivery vehicles to treat human disease. He has authored over 46 peer-reviewed publications and is inventor on five issued US patents mainly in the field of gene delivery and therapeutics. His laboratory works to discover, develop, and test new gene delivery systems to address the current and future challenges of human gene therapy.
