Siddarth Satish is the Founder and CEO of Gauss Surgical, a developer of AI-enabled applications for the Operating Room. Gauss’s first application, Triton, is an FDA-cleared platform to monitor surgical blood loss using computer vision, and has been adopted widely by health systems in the United States to recognize obstetric hemorrhage, reduce inappropriate transfusion, and improve clinical outcomes. In his operating role, Siddarth has led his team through seven US/EU regulatory approvals and raised $45 million in venture capital. Gauss received the 2018 Apple Design Award, which recognizes the best in design, innovation and technology on Apple platforms, and is backed by SoftBank Ventures Asia and several strategic healthcare investors. Siddarth previously served as an Entrepreneur-in-Residence at StartX, Stanford University’s Startup Accelerator, and as a SIMdesign Fellow in the Department of Surgery at Stanford. Siddarth was born in India and immigrated to the US at the age of 7. He earned a B.S. in Chemical Engineering from the University of California, Berkeley, and an M.S. in Bioengineering from the UCSF/UC Berkeley Joint Graduate Group in Bioengineering. He is a co-inventor on over 50 issued or pending patents and was named to the Forbes 30 Under 30 list in healthcare.
