Dr. Peter R Chai is an Emergency Medicine Physician and Medical Toxicologist at Brigham and Women’s Hospital and Harvard Medical School, and adjunct faculty at The Fenway Institute. He is a graduate of the Warren Alpert Medical School at Brown University where he also did his residency in Emergency Medicine. After completing his fellowship in medical toxicology at the University of Massachusetts Medical School, Dr. Chai began developing concepts surrounding mHealth technologies to discover and react to changes in health. His current investigations focus on medication adherence with digital pills, remote vital sign monitoring using cutaneous sensors, ingestible electronics, and IoT for hospital task management. He is funded through the National Institutes of Health and various private foundation and industry sources to understand how to use technology to change health outcomes.
