As President and CEO of Roche Diagnostics Corporation, Matt Sause is head of North American commercial operations for the Diagnostics Division of Roche Group, headquartered in Basel, Switzerland. He leads the North America Diagnostics Executive Committee that sets U.S. and Canadian strategy. Matt also serves as a member of Roche’s global Diagnostics Leadership Team.
Prior to his current role, Matt rejoined Roche Group from Gilead Sciences where he was Head of Global Commercial Product Strategy. Matt began his Roche career in 2002 as a San Diego-based Account Manager in Molecular Diagnostics. From 2006-08, he worked as an International Product Manager in Hematologic Oncology for Roche Diagnostics, and then moved with the Diagnostics division to Japan and Taiwan in key commercial roles. From 2012-14, Matt served as Country Manager of Roche Diagnostics, Ireland. After joining Roche’s Pharmaceuticals division in 2014, he led country operations in Peru and South Korea as the President of those affiliates before returning to the U.S. as Lifecycle Leader of Tecentriq Lung, Head and Neck Cancers.
Matt earned a bachelor’s degree in microbiology from Miami University in Oxford, Ohio and an MBA from the University of California San Diego.
