Constance “Connie” Lehman, MD, PhD is a Professor of Radiology at Harvard Medical School, and the Director of Breast Imaging, and Co-Director of the Avon Comprehensive Breast Evaluation Center at the Massachusetts General Hospital in Boston, Massachusetts. Dr. Lehman received her undergraduate education at Duke University and her MD and PhD at Yale University. She has co-authored breast cancer screening recommendations for the American Cancer Society, the American College of Radiology, and the National Comprehensive Cancer Network. She has co-authored over 220 peer-reviewed scientific publications addressing the performance of imaging tests in diverse settings. She is currently developing and evaluating new methods of deep learning to improve breast cancer detection, diagnosis and treatment. Collectively, her philosophy embodies the notion that we improve the health of our community by delivering the highest quality patient-centered care in a setting of active innovation and education.
