Brian Symmons is COO at Gauss Surgical, where he leads Marketing, Product Management and and Customer Success. Gauss leverages AI in the operating room to deliver FDA-cleared mobile applications with a focus on improving patient safety, quality and outcomes. Prior to Gauss, Brian was VP of Marketing at Counsyl, a leader in Women’s Health Genetics, where he built and led the marketing team/function through their $375M acquisition by Myriad Genetics. He also previously served as Director of Marketing at Hansen Medical (HNSN) where he led the launch of the Magellan surgical robotics system. Brian’s healthcare career began at Johnson & Johnson, where he held progressive leadership roles in global marketing, strategic planning and product management. Brian holds an MBA from Harvard Business School and a BA from Tufts University.
